First Football weekend

We all know I am from Georgia. I use to be a die hard Georgia fan. I use to watch football with my Bulldog blanket and light my Bulldog candle. I drank hot chocolate out of my Georgia Bulldog coffee mug. I wore my jersey. I wore my Battleground red and black shoes. I put a Georgia Bulldog bow in my hair and sat down in the floor next to my Dad to watch the game.

My dad likes AL and GA. I use to think the only reason my dad liked AL is because my great uncle use to play for them. They actually are not that bad of team either. I have learned that Roll Tide is catchy and AL somehow always pulls through plays.

The Bulldogs are not who they use to be, but I am still a fan. My dad and ex stepmom were rivals because she was for TN. She was not a humble winner; that might be a understatement. I will say that when we won, she did not want to talk to us or be in the same room with us. For Christmas, I bought her a tag plate that said house divided with TN and GA. She did not keep it.

My mother has always been a dawg fan. She lives in Athens now. She is or was just as bad as me. She would put the fake tattoo on her face of the GA "G" with a wet towel. She sometimes went to the games. She also has been known to work the ticket booths there. She took pictures all over campus before the game. She had a certain pair of earrings she wore on game day. She usually wore black and red. She had her usually GA scarf. Always had a pom-pom that was black and red. She was and still is cute when she dresses up for game day. I think this was the only time were I saw my mom like something manly. She will always be a fan of the team no matter what.

I still like football ,but not like I did when I was a kid. I feel like it is not what it use to be. People have changed the game, coaches and rules. I still care if GA loses and or wins. I have confidence that this year will be better. The team had to get use to each other and know what each member brings to the plate. I never will place bets on games. I do not care if others do, It is just not what I do.
